Mr. Dwight Vorpahl
Mr. Vorpahl is an attorney with the law firm of Eastham, Meyer and Vorpahl. He was born in Seguin, Texas, and raised in nearby La Vernia. He graduated cum laude from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, in 1971 and then earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio in 1975, being admitted to the Texas Bar that same year.
Mr. Vorpahl has been an active member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Missouri City, since its conception in 1975. He has served on the church council twice and two times has served as president of the congregation. He has been active in community and interfaith affairs in Missouri City. He was also instrumental in leading his congregation into a sister parish relationship with El Buen Pastor Luterano Eglesias in Usulutan, El Salvador. He has made several trips to El Salvador with members of the congregation.
Mr. Vorpahl is a member of the following honor societies: Phi Alpha Theta, Alpha Chi, and is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He is also very involved in his alma mater, Texas Lutheran University. His practice involves acting as counsel to corporate clients and individuals engaged in various business enterprises.
He is married to Jo Vorpahl who is also an attorney in Houston. They have a daughter who is married and lives in Austin. His commitment to Houston and his legal expertise add greatly to the mission of TRUTH.
