Director:  Rev. Stephen D.Quill

Rev. Quill has been a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since 1972 and has served in the Greater Houston area since 1979.  He served New Hope Lutheran Church in Missouri City from July 1979- Feb. 2006.  Since then he has served two other Houston area congregations as an interim pastor.  Rev. Quill has been involved in inter-faith efforts since 1987.  Rev. Quill was the 1981 recipient of the B'nai Brith award in Fort Bend county presented by the Genesis Chapter. He was a leader of the Ft. Bend Interfaith Council, a community organizing effort for justice, and in recent years has participated in the Anti-Defamation League’s “Coalition for Mutual Respect”.  During this time he has been involved in speaking and educational exchange programs for the past 10 years with Jewish, Islamic, and other religious groups.  He is currently on the steering committee for the Clergy Institute, a project of the ADL to bring clerical leaders together to build understanding, trust and hope.  The birth of TRUTHouston has been a natural outgrowth of an increasing passion for inter-faith understanding and respect.
